Das Don and Gee Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting ist ein Stipendiumsprogramm für Drehbuchautoren, welches 1986 gegründet wurde. Es wird von der Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences verwaltet.

Gee Nicholl, Witwe des Produzenten Don Nicholl, arbeitete 1985 mit Julian Blaustein ein Programm für die Academy aus. Die ursprünglichen Gewinner 1986 waren Allison Anders, Dennis Clontz und Jeffrey Eugenides. 1989 schrieb Radha Bharadwaj sein erstes Drehbuch für das Drama Closet Land, welches 1991 veröffentlicht wurde. Clontz gewann den Pulitzer-Preis im Jahre 1994 und Eugenides 2003. 1992 wurde Susannah Grant ein Stipendium zugesprochen und sie war die Erste, welche den Academy Award für das Drehbuch von Erin Brockovich erhielt. Das Stipendienprogramm feierte 2010 sein 25-jähriges Jubiläum.[1]

Seit der 2013er Verleihung wurden 17 Drehbücher verfilmt.[2]
